The Oyster Point Hotel
As of recently people have not been asked to pay. People have reported being asked to leave. Sitting fee if you sit in the lounge. There are reports that you don’t have to pay a sitting fee if you buy an alcoholic drink even if you don’t drink it. There are seats right where you come in but they’re not as nice.

User Reported: First of all, oyster point will not allow u to sit unless u buy an alcoholic drink from the bar, u can get around that by just paying for an alcoholic drink without taking one. I did that. My bill for my drink her drink and the alcoholic drink was 12 dollars. They will not charge u any minimum.

User Reported: Just went, and I bought a drink (soft) and was able to sit there without any issues, even the lounge

User Reported: Went on Jan 10 2026 and asked the front desk if ok to sit and talk, he was very polite, said as long as we buy a drink (I bought water :)) can sit and even gave us a heads up on when the live music would end and that they had a party scheduled for 11
