A girl wants to feel that the boy is taking care of her. She wants him to take the lead. If asked “What do you want?” some girls will answer clearly, while others will reply “Whatever you want.” However, even a girl who doesn’t explicitly state her opinion would like him to decide based on her feelings.
Many times, a girl will expect a friend (or prospective husband) to know what she is feeling and thinking, even if there is no logical way of him/her knowing. If he chooses that which she doesn’t want, she might hold it against him (even though he just asked her and she said ‘whatever you want’). Therefore, it is a good idea to ask her, “Which way will make you more comfortable?” or a similar question. Then decide based on her feelings.
